Glutathione: One Minute with Dr. Mark Stengler

Glutathione is a very important nutrient that’s found naturally in the human body. There have been over 80,000 studies done on this important nutrient, and it has many important functions in the human body. For example, glutathione helps your cells to produce energy, it helps your cells to detoxify, cleans things like heavy metals, pesticides, and other toxins that we’re exposed to. It’s even been shown to help protect your cell DNA. You can get glutathione naturally occurring in foods. For example, you find it in carrots, apples, squash, bananas, and avocados. So many good foods contain low amounts of glutathione. But, if you've been exposed to chemicals, or you have conditions like chronic fatigue or other degenerative conditions, like neurological conditions, or immune system problems, glutathione is an excellent supplement. You can use many different forms. You can use it orally, as a trans-dermal gel or cream, or intravenously with patients to help them recover from illness much more quickly. So, glutathione is just an amazing, super antioxidant that many people can benefit from.
